William H. Storum to Frederick Douglass, August 21, 1854

BUSTI, Aug. 21st, 1854

MR. FREDERICK DOUGLASS: DEAR SIR:

Having read your notice of the proceedings of the meeting of the National Council held at Cleveland, and being present at that meeting, I had a fair opportunity of observing things as they are passed, and wish that you could have had the pleasure of giving a more favorable notice of its proceedings; but the truth must be told, let it hit where it may. I see nothing in your notice of the meeting but what is correct.

In haste, your,

WM. H. STORUM.
