GALENA ANTI-SLAVERY ASSOCIATION.

MR. EDITOR: — The following Resolutions were passed and adopted unanimously by the Galena Anti-Slavery Association:

, That we regard the action of Mr. Frederick Douglass, in supporting the Republican candidates for the Presidency, as of vital importance, and as characteristic of his true anti-slavery principles, the philanthropic character in regard to mankind in general, and as an anti-slavery champion, of most inconceivable benefit to his people in particular.

, That a copy of these proceedings be sent to his paper for publication.

, That the Secretary be empowered to draw on the treasury and subscribe for the , in order to have portions of it read at every meeting of the Association.
