Maria Webb to Frederick Douglass, March 15, 1862

Dunville Avenue Dublin 15th III mo 1862

To Frederick Douglass of Rochester

My dear Friend

The Irish Ladies Antislavery
Society authorises me to send thee
five pounds as a memento of
their interest in thy antislavery
efforts When it reaches thee
I shall thank thee to acknow
ledge it in a letter to me and
also to inform me if any fu
gitives make their way to
Rochester latterly. They can
have but little inducement to
go further north if they could
find a secure home in the
United States where the climate is
more temperate.

With kind regards thy true
friend

Maria WebbWebb, Maria
