My dear uncle
I take this opportunity of writing to you by this hand of Mr Fisher in whose family I am now living to say that I and the baby are both quite well. I wonder that I have not received a letter from you by this time, and hope to hear from you as soon as convenient. Please direct to me in care of J. H. Fisher 215 Seneca St. If you have those pictures
of the baby I would be glad if you will send them to me as soon as you can. Please keep one for yourself if you wish. If you can do so without too much trouble be kind enough to write to my sister Isabella who is in Baltimore no 35 McCulloch St. Please let her know where I am and ask her to write to me here, in care as above Please send one of the pictures of baby to Isabella I will send you one of myself in this letter to go with it to her at the same time. I was homesick a little the first two or three days, but am all over it now. I cant tell
you how I like Buffalo as yet having seen but little of it. I would like to know if mother & father are gone South yet. I would like to hear from any of them as often as I can. I am very well satisfied so far with my place
Give my love to all the folks and believe me your aff niece
Anna Downs
