Frederick Douglass to James Redpath, November 9, 1869

Rochester: November, 9th 1869.

My dear Mr Redpath:

I am just home from Ohio, and find your favor and the list of my appointments. You have done all and more than all I could ask in the number of New England appointments you have made for me. It will not be possible for me to give you more than one week longer—and that must be the first week in January. February is already provided for in the west. My health has not been the best this season, but from present appearances I shall be able to enter upon my work this winter in good condition and fair promise of success.

Very truly yours

Fredk Douglass
