Manchester

11 March 1847

My Dear Friend It Strikes me that I forgot to tell you in the hasty lines which I wrote you from London — at that place you might send me answer. I write now to say I shall be happy to have a line from you at Carlisle Care of J. D. Carr. Edin Bank. I should like much to know if I can have a meeting in Darlington on the 23d March. it will be my only opportunity.

I do feel that I ought not to leave this country without a fair opportunity for making the people of Darlington somewhat better acquainted with the merits of our great enterprize — than the limited period of my last meeting would allow — Since I wrote you, I have had a very good meeting. Finstary Chapel London one in Colchester — One in Nottingham — and one

[in] Warrington. I shall leave here for Carlisle on Saturday and reach there on Saturday night. Please write.

In great haste yours Always —
