Mr. Frederick DouglassーDear Sir:ーI am much pleased with the first number of your paper, and am convinced that the principles there set forth, strictly adhered to, will effect more to accomplish the end designed than any similar organ ever commenced in this country.

Time forbids, in this hasty scrawl, to say more, but I intend that you shall hear from me frequently.
