Mr. F. Douglass

Sir

I have received your note dated yesterday

I yesterday requested Mr WarnerWarner, Brainard Henry

Brainard Henry Warner (1847-1916) born in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania started as a clerk at the Washington Judiciary Square Hospital. In 1866 he was a clerk in the War Department. He trained in law and also was involved in real estate in Washington. He worked in a variety of banks and started his own company B. H. Warner Company. He is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington, D.C. (FindaGrave website accessed 2025-08-21; Washington Evening Star, 17 May 1916).
to let you know on what terms I would release the lots on which you built & secured mortgage. I find that interest taxes to have made my lien on the property larger than I thought t was.

Yours truly
